CHS Data Collection Dates and Overview
Between enrollment and 1998-1999 (Year 11), participants were seen in the clinic annually and contacted by phone at 6-month intervals. For more details, see the summary & frequency of types of clinic visit data collected.
From 1999 to 2023, participants were contacted every 6 months by phone, primarily to ascertain health status for events follow-up.
In 2005-2006 (Year 18), CHS participants in the CHS All Stars Study were seen in person or by phone to assess physical and cognitive function.
In 2018-2019 (Year 31), CHS participants were seen in-person or contacted by phone to assess physical and cognitive function.
