Objectives of the CHS Publications and Presentations Committee

To encourage the accurate and objective development of scientific manuscripts or abstracts based on data gathered from the Cardiovascular Health Study (CHS).
To ensure and expedite the timely publication and presentation to the scientific community of all pertinent CHS data.
To prevent overlap of content across papers, and to ensure investigators adhere to the aims outlined in their proposal.
To ensure that all investigators, particularly those of junior rank, have the opportunity to participate and be recognized in study-wide CHS papers.
To ensure that the CHS Steering Committee and the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) are able to carry out the timely review of CHS publications and presentations.
To maintain and post a complete and up-to-date list of CHS publications and abstracts.
